The Mixing Bowl Unveiled the 2025 Crop Robotics Landscape at FIRA USA 2025

The Mixing Bowl team was proud to unveil its 2025 Crop Robotics Landscape during a panel discussion as part of the California AgTech Alliance press conference at FIRA USA 2025, the leading event for agricultural robotics and automation in North America.

Held on October 22 at the Yolo County Fairgrounds in Woodland, California, FIRA USA 2025 brought together innovators, producers, investors, and policymakers shaping the future of automation in agriculture. This year’s event highlighted the ongoing transition from traditional mechanization to advanced automation and the emerging wave of robotics now entering the field.

During the panel discussion Chris Taylor presented the updated 2025 Crop Robotics Landscape, offering the most comprehensive mapping to date of the companies transforming crop production. Additional leaders shaping the future of food, farming, and innovation on the panel were Larry Jacobs, owner of Jacobs Farm del Cabo, Josh Eddy, Executive Director, California Department of Food and Agriculture, Becca Fenwick, Director and Co-Founder of CIDER and DUCC at the University of California, Santa Cruz where they discussed the increasing importance of workforce transition and skills development, as farms adapt to persistent labor shortages and rising production costs. The unveiling continued The Mixing Bowl’s mission to connect innovators across the food and agriculture ecosystem—bridging technology and production through collaboration, data, and shared insight.
